Hamblen County, through cooperative efforts by the chamber, the government and the citizens, has been one of the state’s most successful recruiters of regional, national and international industry. In fact, Hamblen County – the state’s third smallest county – employs over 10,000 people in industry. This success is due, in part, to the cooperative agreements and positive working relationships developed between community and industrial leaders.
