Morristown visionary leaders have always understood the importance of a strong business and industrial foundation. From the city’s incorporation in 1855, Morristown’s strategic location made it a focal point for pioneers, competing armies and later, industrial interests.

Morristown also earned certification as a Main Street Community in 2009. This program recognizes efforts to revitalize downtown districts through economic development efforts and provides communities with technical assistance and guidance for preserving history while bringing in new business and job growth.
Centrally located between eight counties, Morristown is within easy reach of nearly 350,000 people and serves as the regional hub for employment, shopping, recreation, healthcare and educational opportunities. With its own general aviation airport, fully operational rail system and easy access to Interstates 81, 40 and 75 and major highways including 25E and 11E, Morristown is a thriving progressive city with an excellent quality of life.
